More about Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh is rich in cultural heritage. Its classical music and dance has its own identity. Andhra Pradesh is home of some popular musician, its generator of popular dance form like kuchipudi. Telegu is the language of this state in which so many poems and compositions have been written. Telegu is origin of Sanskrit.


Andhra Pradesh culture is rich in sculptures, artifacts, paintings and ancients objects this can be seen at its popular museum called Salar Jung Museum. This museum highlights the Buddhist, Muslim and Hindu influences on the Andhra region. Andhraites are exceptional in celebrating fairs and festivals. People are very religious and spiritual.


Andhra Pradesh is serving more than 20 higher education institutes providing all postgraduate degree courses. Andhra Pradesh is also famous for its education system lots of students are willing to get admission there. There are number of popular institutes like IIT, NIT, BITS, Hydrabad central University, NIFT and others. Prestigious Osmania University is also in Hydrabad.


You may be known that Andhra Pradesh is also called “Koh-i-nor” of India; this is because of its tourism. If you are willing to go there you would be like to see its religious pilgrim centers like Tirupati, Venkateswara and Srisailam. Vishnu and Lakshmi Narasimha temples are great to visit. Lots of Buddhist centres like Amaravati, Nagarjuna, Konda, Bhattiprolu, Sankaram etc. are the identity of the state. A tourist must visit the caves at Andhra. You can visit its gorgeous sea beaches and hills. Charminar, Golconda Fort, Chandragiri Fort, Chowmahalla Palace are the famous places of Andhra.


Andhra Pradesh is having variations in its cuisine. The people love to cook varities of vegetables and prepare Pickles and chutneys. Rice is the famous food and cooked in different way. Like vegetarian, Non vegetarian foods are also like by people. The Biryani is the most popluar cuisine of the state.

Andhra Pradesh is one of the South-eastern states of India. It is counted as fourth largest state of India as well as it is having the largest capital and city called “Hyderabad”. Andhra Pradesh is having the longest coastline in India and boarded by Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Orissa in the north, Tamil Nadu in the South, Karnataka to the west and beautiful Bay of Bengal in the East. Being one of the largest rice producers of India, Andhra Pradesh is also known as “Rice Granary of India”.

Andhra Pradesh is famous for its historical Monuments and rich culture that is the reason which attracts tourist to visit this state. Its charming countryside with 34 rivers makes it more beautiful. Tourists are also attracted to see its wildlife reserves. There are around 20 notified sanctuaries to visit.

ABOUT INDIAN STATES

India is having 28 states and 7 union territories. Each one is having its own capital. India has uniqueness in its every state. To know India better a Tourist needs to visit every state. Under the State Reorganization Act 1956, India’s states were formed on a linguistic basis. Every state is divided into administrative districts, districts into tehsils and tehsils having villages. Earlier the India was having 26 states; In November 2000 it gained three more new sates. These 3 new states were curved out from other states i.e Uttaranchal out of Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand out of Bihar and Chhattisgarh out of Madhya Pradesh.
