Assam is one of the beautiful and famous states of the Northern India. Assam surrounded by greenery and rich in flora funa and wild life. Dispur is the Capital of Assam and it is surrounded by seven sister states: Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Meghalaya. Bhutan and Bangladesh also touches its boundaries.

Assam is having a very wide culture. It is famous for its Tea garden, Silk and old petroleum resources. Kaziranga and manas is the famous national park of Assam. These national parks are having one horned Indian rhinoceros, tigers, and Asian elephant along with various spices of birds. Assam is famous for its lovely Sal tree forest. Brahmaputra is crossing the boundaries of Assam. Assam is also having mineral resources like petroleum, coal, natural gases, limestone and others.

People of different religions are living in Assam like Hindu, Muslims, Christian, Sikh and Buddhist. Assamese are religious and they belive in god like durga, Shiva, Krishna etc. Assamese, Bodo and Bengali are the languages they speak. There are lots of festivals they enjoy. Bihu and Durga Puja are the famous one which they celebrate with great enthusiasm. At the time of Bihu festival, they perform a bihu dance which Assam is famous for. Bihu celebration is the warm welcome of spring season and starting of sowing season.

Assam has rich tradition of fine arts and crafts. You can see the use of cane, bamboo, metal, brass, silk, clay, wood in their madden products. Cane and bamboo are highly reachable in Assam therefore people also use them in their daily life. Tourists who are interested to visit Assam can reach there by Air, Train and by road also.
