Chhattisgarh was drag out on 1st November 2000 from the Central Indian state Madhya Pradesh. Raipur is the capital of Chhattisgarh. This name was driven on the basis of 36 forts in Chhattisgarh. Chhattisgarh is surrounded by the 6 states called Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Chhattisgarhi and Hindi both are the official language of Chhattisgarh. Mahanadi is the major river of this state.
